Mount Davidson Vista Point

Mount Davidson rises nine hundred twenty-eight feet above sea level, making it the highest natural point in San Francisco. A one hundred three-foot concrete cross stands at its crest, a landmark visible from miles away. The peak is largely covered by a dense forest of blue gum eucalyptus, trees originally planted in the late nineteenth century by former mayor Adolph Sutro.
