Bay front park

park garden

Bayfront Park occupies five and a half acres on the eastern edge of Mission Bay, defined by its use of weathered steel beams salvaged from the demolished eastern span of the Bay Bridge. These massive salvaged elements appear throughout the grounds as sculptural features, shade structure supports, and informal seating along the water. The park occupies a shoreline that formerly served as an industrial rail yard for the Southern Pacific Railroad.
