Bayfront Park

park garden

Bayfront Park is a five-and-a-half-acre waterfront space located along the eastern edge of the Mission Bay neighborhood, easily identified by the reclaimed steel beams from the demolished eastern span of the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge. These rusted, industrial structures serve as sculptural shade pavilions, seating, and platforms throughout the site. The park is managed by the Port of San Francisco and serves as a buffer against rising sea levels, featuring terraced gardens that integrate bioretention systems to manage stormwater runoff.
