The Mile High Tower is a fourteen-story office building recognized by the plaid-like pattern of spandrels, mullions, and muntins across its curtain-wall facade. Completed in nineteen fifty-six, it stands as one of Denver’s earliest post-war skyscrapers, built in the International Style. Architect I. M. Pei designed the original free-standing tower to include a plaza complete with a pool and a waterfall.
