The Paramount Theatre is recognized by its three-story exterior of glistening white glazed terra cotta, accented with black marble and twelve bays of paired windows. Designed by architect Temple Hoyne Buell and opened in nineteen thirty, the building displays the sharp, angular motifs of the Zig Zag Art Deco style. It was built for the Paramount-Publix circuit as a grand movie palace and remains the only theatre of its era in Denver to retain its original interior glamour.
