The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa is identifiable by its distinctive triangular shape, which occupies the entire block where Broadway, Tremont, and Seventeenth Street converge. Opened on August twelfth, eighteen ninety-two, the hotel was commissioned by real estate developer Henry Cordes Brown and designed by architect Frank Edbrooke. The exterior is clad in Colorado red granite and sandstone, constructed in an Italian Renaissance style.
