George M. Cohan Statue

In the triangle of Duffy Square, north of the main intersection of Times Square, stands a bronze statue of the composer, playwright, and performer George M. Cohan. He is depicted in a double-breasted suit with a flower in his lapel, holding a cane in one hand and a script in the other. Sculptor Georg John Lober designed the figure with one foot placed forward, as though Cohan has stopped for a brief moment before walking onto a nearby stage.
