Cafe Luxembourg is defined by a large, red awning that reaches over the sidewalk on West Seventieth Street. Opened in nineteen eighty-three by Keith McNally and Lynn Wagenknecht, this French bistro was designed to mirror the atmosphere of a nineteen thirties Parisian train station. Inside, the space features tiled floors, antique mirrors, and Jean Perzel lighting fixtures that cast a glow over red leather banquettes.
