Bow Bridge

Bow Bridge is identified by a graceful, low-lying cast-iron arch that spans the Lake, connecting the formal lawns of Cherry Hill to the tangled woods of the Ramble. Completed in eighteen sixty-two, it was designed by the park’s co-designer Calvert Vaux and architect Jacob Wrey Mould. The bridge derives its name from its sweeping curve, which mirrors the shape of an archer's or violinist's bow.
