The Pulitzer Mansion stands as a limestone-clad, four-story structure on East Seventy-third Street, defined by its colonnaded second and third floors and a row of large arched windows. Completed in nineteen oh three, the building was designed by architect Stanford White for the newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitzer. Its façade, inspired by seventeenth-century Venetian palazzos, remains relatively plain, a choice influenced by the fact that Pulitzer was blind when he commissioned the home.
