Strawberry Fields

Strawberry Fields is marked by a circular black-and-white marble mosaic embedded in the path, which displays the word Imagine in a starburst pattern. This two-and-a-half-acre landscaped garden serves as a memorial to John Lennon, who lived across the street at the Dakota apartment building. Yoko Ono worked with landscape architect Bruce Kelly and the Central Park Conservancy to design this space as a meditative Garden of Peace.
