Discovery Green is a twelve-acre park in downtown Houston defined by the dense, century-old live oak trees that line the Brown Foundation Promenade. Before the park opened in April two thousand eight, this land consisted of two large, barren parking lots sitting between the George R. Brown Convention Center and the surrounding city streets.
