Pennzoil Place is a pair of thirty-six-story towers defined by their dark bronze glass and distinctive trapezoidal footprints. Completed in nineteen seventy-five, the complex occupies a full block in downtown Houston and is instantly recognizable by the ten-foot-wide spatial void that separates the two mirror-image structures. A glass-roofed atrium connects the bases, creating a geometric silhouette that slopes sharply at forty-five-degree angles toward the sky.
