Wells Fargo Plaza rises nine hundred ninety-two feet above Louisiana Street, identifiable by its blue-green reflective glass and a footprint composed of two offset semicircles. Completed in nineteen eighty-three, this seventy-one-story skyscraper occupies an entire city block and holds the title of the tallest glass structure in the Western Hemisphere. Architect Richard Keating designed the tower, and while local lore often claims its curved shape was meant to resemble a dollar sign, Keating explicitly dismissed this as a myth.
