The TC Energy Center stands out in the downtown Houston skyline for its dark pink exterior, clad entirely in red Swedish granite. Completed in nineteen eighty-three, this fifty-six-story skyscraper features three segmented setbacks, each topped with steeply pitched gabled roofs and spires. The design, created by the firm Johnson and Burgee, draws inspiration from the Dutch Gothic architecture found in the canal houses of the Netherlands.
