Notsuoh

Notsuoh is a three-story building at three hundred fourteen Main Street, identifiable by its eclectic, ever-changing storefront windows and the dense collection of found objects displayed throughout its interior. Built in eighteen ninety-three, the structure once housed the Sakowitz department store. The current venue takes its name from a week-long carnival held in Houston from eighteen ninety-nine until the first World War, where "Notsuoh" was Houston spelled backward as part of a trend of reversing words during the festivities.
