Tuman-Aka Mosque

The Tuman-Aka Mosque is defined by its shared structural bond with the Tuman-Aka Mausoleum in the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis. The mosque utilizes the southern wall of the mausoleum as its own northern boundary. Built between fourteen oh five and fourteen oh six, the site was commissioned by Tuman-Aka, one of the wives of Amir Timur. An inscription above the entrance identifies her as the daughter of the emir Musa.
