The House with the Strawberries at number six San Stefano Street is known for the decorative strawberry motifs carved into its facade and the strawberry bushes once cultivated in its front yard. Built between nineteen twenty-seven and nineteen thirty for the banker Dimitar Ivanov and his wife, Nadezhda Stankovich, this three-story residence was designed by the Bulgarian architect Georgi Kunev. Its interior originally featured a red marble fireplace, crystal-glass doors, and a dedicated stage for musicians.
