Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski

You can identify Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski by the two seated bronze statues of brothers Evlogi and Hristo Georgiev, which guard the entrance to its grand facade. Founded in eighteen eighty-eight, this is the oldest higher education institution in Bulgaria. Its main building, known locally as the Rectorate, is a large, eclectic structure featuring baroque elements that took nearly half a century to complete in several stages between nineteen twenty-four and nineteen eighty-five.
