George C. King Bridge

The George C. King Bridge is defined by its series of three low, curved steel arches that span one hundred and eighty-two meters across the Bow River. Locally known as the Skipping Stone Bridge, its form was designed to evoke the motion of a stone skimming across the water’s surface. It connects the East Village neighborhood to the south with Bridgeland to the north, providing a direct pedestrian and cyclist route to St. Patrick’s Island in the middle of the river.
