The Bow is a fifty-eight-story skyscraper recognized by its curved, crescent-shaped glass exterior that mimics the arc of an archer's bow. Completed in two thousand twelve, the structure was built as a headquarters for the energy company Encana and stands two hundred thirty-six meters tall in the heart of downtown Calgary. Its design utilizes a triangular steel diagrid system, a structural choice that allowed engineers to reduce the amount of steel required while creating the tower's signature shape.
