Central Memorial Park is Calgary’s oldest park, spanning an entire city block between twelfth and thirteenth avenues. Its grounds follow a strict, symmetrical Victorian-era landscape design, featuring geometric pathways, rows of trees, and elaborately arranged flower beds that have defined the site since nineteen twelve. A Beaux-Arts style library building occupies the eastern end of the block, anchoring the park as a centerpiece of the neighborhood.
