The Harry Hays Building occupies an entire city block at two hundred twenty Fourth Avenue Southeast, identified by its eight storeys of concrete construction and a design where each level slightly recedes as the building rises. Completed in nineteen seventy-nine, this federal office complex stands along the Bow River and serves as a hub for various government programs, including Service Canada and the Passport Office. It takes its name from Harry Hays, a former mayor of Calgary who later served as a federal cabinet minister and senator.
