Hinge Park

Hinge Park is distinguished by a bridge fashioned from a large, rusty industrial sewer pipe that spans a naturalized wetland. This two-point-three-acre site sits at the intersection of Cambie Street and West Second Avenue, marking a bend in the local street grid that inspired its name. Originally constructed as part of the infrastructure for the two thousand ten Winter Olympics, the park occupies land that served as a City Works Yard beginning in the nineteen twenties.
