The Harbourfront Centre is defined by the industrial remnants of a former shipping port that now house galleries, theaters, and performance stages. Spanning ten acres along the shore of Lake Ontario, the site is anchored by the Power Plant, a nineteen-twenties building with a tall brick stack that once supplied energy to nearby warehouse operations. These weathered structures stand in contrast to modern boardwalks, plazas, and public event spaces.
