Hockey Hall of Fame

museum

The Hockey Hall of Fame is defined by a massive, forty-five-foot-high stained glass dome that crowns its central hall. This grand space, known as the Esso Great Hall, was once the primary banking floor of the Bank of Montreal, which was built on this site in eighteen eighty-five. The dome itself features intricate panels depicting allegorical dragons and provincial emblems, all crafted by the firm of Joseph McCausland and Sons during a period of intense architectural expansion in Toronto.
