Massey Hall is a three-story, red brick building marked by a slightly projecting pedimented center block and a series of round and flat-headed windows. Located in downtown Toronto, this concert hall was a gift from industrialist Hart Massey to the city. He commissioned the design from architect Sidney Rose Badgley and built it between eighteen eighty-nine and eighteen ninety-four to honor his son, Charles, an accomplished organist who died young.
