Soldiers' Tower

The Soldiers' Tower rises one hundred and forty-three feet above the University of Toronto’s Saint George campus. Designed by architects Henry Sproatt and Ernest Rolph, this Gothic Revival structure is built of grey ashlar stone trimmed with limestone. It serves as a war memorial for one thousand, one hundred and eighty-five members of the university community who died during the First and Second World Wars.
