Knox College is marked by a distinctive U-shaped limestone and sandstone structure that wraps around a central cloistered courtyard. Designed by architects Chapman and McGiffin and completed in nineteen fifteen, the building is a prominent example of Collegiate Gothic architecture. Its pointed arches, stone tracery, and vaulted walkways evoke the medieval traditions of Oxford and Cambridge universities.
