The Gabrielle-Roy Library stands as a luminous, glass-wrapped presence in the Saint-Roch neighborhood. Originally built in nineteen eighty-three as a fortress of brick, the building underwent a total transformation completed in twenty twenty-three. Architects replaced the old, opaque walls with translucent and clear glass, turning the institution into a glowing lantern that reveals its interior life to the street.
