Kent Gate

Kent Gate is recognized by its stone towers and ornamental archway, which interrupt the surrounding fortifications where only a small postern once stood. Built in eighteen seventy-nine, it sits at the junction of Rue Dauphine and Rue d’Auteuil. Unlike the original defensive gates that guarded the city during the French and British regimes, this structure was designed to manage modern traffic while preserving the visual identity of the historic walls.
