Notre-Dame de Québec Basilica-Cathedral

The Basilica-Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Québec is recognizable by its neoclassical façade, which features a prominent, asymmetrical bell tower on the south side. As the oldest parish church in Canada, it stands on the site of a chapel established by Samuel de Champlain in sixteen thirty-three. The building has functioned as the seat of the Archdiocese of Quebec since sixteen seventy-four and holds the distinction of being the first minor basilica in North America.
