Parliament Building

The Parliament Building is recognizable by its grand, symmetrical facade of grey stone and its commanding central tower, which rises above the surrounding gardens in the Second Empire style. Built between eighteen seventy-seven and eighteen eighty-six, this structure serves as the home of the National Assembly of Quebec. Its architect, Eugène-Étienne Taché, designed the building with a deliberate focus on the province's French roots, filling its exterior with dozens of bronze statues that honor the explorers, missionaries, and political leaders who shaped the region’s early history.
