Joan of Arc Garden

The Joan of Arc Garden is a rectangular, sunken space set slightly below the level of the surrounding grounds on the Plains of Abraham. It is defined by its geometric layout of flowerbeds and a central equestrian statue of the French heroine, which stands as the focal point of the area. Designed in nineteen thirty-eight by landscape architect Louis Perron, the garden incorporates over one hundred and fifty species of perennials, annuals, and bulbs, all framed by a perimeter of tall American elm trees.
