La Fabrique is identified by its deep red brick walls, white brick trim, and prominent square towers that reach upward like a medieval fortress. This building, located on boulevard Charest Est, serves as a record of the industrial era in the Saint-Roch neighborhood. It was originally constructed in eighteen seventy-one and rebuilt in nineteen eleven following a fire. For nearly a century, from eighteen ninety-seven until nineteen eighty-eight, it housed the Dominion Corset company.
