Centenario Park

Parque del Centenario is defined by the dense, shaded canopy of its trees that creates a pocket of jungle-like greenery between the historic old town of Cartagena and the Getsemaní district. Established in nineteen eleven, the park was created to commemorate the centennial of the city’s independence from Spain. While it was inaugurated on November eleventh, nineteen eleven, construction remained ongoing due to limited funds. The site features neoclassical design elements and eight entrances marked by French-style arches.
