Matejuška

Matejuška is a small harbor tucked into the northwest corner of the Split port, recognizable by the stone quay where rows of small fishing boats bob against the backdrop of the city. For centuries, this cove served as the primary mooring for local fishermen from the Veli Varoš neighborhood, who set out from these waters to secure their daily catch. A bronze monument of a large fish hook stands on the shore, commemorating this long-standing maritime heritage.
