Radić Brothers Square (Fruit Square)

Radić Brothers Square is defined by the octagonal Venetian tower that stands at its edge. This stone tower is the last remaining remnant of a defensive castle built here in fourteen thirty-five, back when the Republic of Venice controlled the city and needed to protect its harbor. Locals still refer to this space as Fruit Square, a name left over from the days when the ground was a bustling market where villagers brought their produce to sell beneath the windows of noble palaces.
