Vestibul

The Vestibule is a tall, circular chamber that opens directly to the sky through a large, roofless oculus. Built in the early fourth century as part of Emperor Diocletian's palace, the stone room features four deep, semicircular niches in its walls that once held statues of ancient deities. From the outside, the building appears as a simple rectangular block, but stepping inside reveals the dramatic contrast of its cylindrical interior, which reaches seventeen meters in height.
