The Sumporne toplice, or Sulfur Baths, stand out for their distinctive yellow facade and intricate decorative details that define this landmark in the heart of Split. Constructed in nineteen oh three, the building was designed by the architect Kamilo Tončić as one of the earliest and most representative examples of Viennese Secession style in the city. It sits directly above natural sulfur springs that have been utilized for therapeutic purposes for centuries, a tradition reportedly dating back to the time of the Roman Emperor Diocletian.
