Broens Street Food sits on the Greenlandic Trading Square, an open quay defined by its proximity to the Inner Harbour Bridge. This outdoor food market occupies a site established in seventeen thirty-five by merchant Andreas Bjørn, which functioned for over two centuries as a center for maritime trade and shipping. Where warehouses once stored dried fish and whale skins brought from Greenland, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands, rows of food stalls and mobile carts now serve a variety of global cuisines.
