Place de la Trinité

other

The Place de la Trinité is a triangular, fully paved intersection tucked against the base of the Fourvière hill in the Saint-Georges neighborhood. It functions less as a grand square and more as a convergence of five narrow streets, including the steep ascent of the montée du Gourguillon. The site has served as a crossroads here since the fifth century, and it takes its name from the seventeenth-century convent of the Order of the Holy Trinity that once bordered the space.
