The Jardin du Centenaire in Malakoff is a four-thousand-square-meter neighborhood park, recognizable by its granite fountain featuring seven water jets. Inaugurated in nineteen eighty-three to commemorate the centennial of the commune, the park is an intentional effort to introduce greenery into one of the most densely populated urban areas in France. Its layout reflects a design strategy from the late twentieth century that sought to integrate public space without dismantling the existing street grid.
