The Petite Ceinture du 15e is a two-kilometer elevated greenway that follows the path of an abandoned double-track railway. Built between eighteen fifty-two and eighteen sixty-nine, the original loop once carried freight and passengers around the city, serving local industrial sites like the Vaugirard slaughterhouses and the Citroën factories. After the rise of the Metro led to the line’s closure in nineteen thirty-four, the tracks lay silent and overgrown for decades.
