Beffroi de Montrouge

cultural

The Beffroi de Montrouge is defined by its tall, square tower of ochre-colored Burgundy brick that rises forty-six meters above the surrounding streets. This Art Deco monument, inaugurated in nineteen thirty-three, was designed by the architect Henri Decaux at the initiative of Mayor Émile Cresp. Originally commissioned to house the city's administrative offices, the building was intended to consolidate municipal services, cultural spaces, and even athletic facilities under one roof.
