The Fondation Deutsch de la Meurthe stands out for its seven brick and stone pavilions arranged symmetrically around a central green space, overseen by a prominent clock tower and belfry. Inaugurated in nineteen twenty-five, this was the first residence built for the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris. Its architect, Lucien Bechmann, designed the complex with steep roofs, gables, and chimneys that mirror the appearance of medieval French and English college architecture.
