Passage Brady

Passage Brady is defined by its unusual split configuration, divided into two distinct sections by the Boulevard de Strasbourg. While many of the city’s covered arcades remain enclosed from end to end, this passage is physically bisected, leaving one segment sheltered beneath a glass roof and the other open to the sky. Built in eighteen twenty-eight by a merchant named Monsieur Brady, the original structure featured an elegant rotunda and was designed as a continuous walkway connecting the Faubourg Saint-Denis to the Faubourg Saint-Martin.
