Villa Saïd is a quiet, private cul-de-sac tucked away in the sixteenth arrondissement, marked by a name plaque near the corner of Rue Pergolèse. Measuring about two hundred meters in length, the narrow lane was created by Alphonse Hardon, an investor who supported the construction of the Suez Canal and chose to name the path after the Egyptian ruler Saïd Pasha.
