Grand Amphithéâtre, Palais des Congrès

The Palais des Congrès de Paris is recognizable by its expansive, sloping facade, designed by architect Christian de Portzamparc during a major renovation in the late nineteen-nineties. Located at the Porte Maillot in the seventeenth arrondissement, the center sits on land that once hosted a popular amusement park called Luna-Park. Inaugurated in nineteen seventy-four, the building was created by architects Guillaume Gillet, Serge Maloletenkov, Yves Betin, and Henri Guibout to integrate a large-scale convention space with the nearby hotel, the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile.
