Hôpital Bretonneau

Hôpital Bretonneau occupies a collection of pavilions near the base of the Montmartre hill. Designed by architect Paul Héneux and constructed between eighteen ninety-five and nineteen hundred, the site was originally intended as a pediatric hospital. The layout was built to resemble a small village with its own internal streets and public spaces, a design choice intended to manage the flow of patients and staff within a contained environment.
